According to authorities, a 48-year-old man was taken into custody on Aug. 31 for allegedly being involved in a fatal stabbing that took place in South Carolina. Earlier in the day, a 33-year-old man was found dead just after 6 a.m. at the home of the man who was taken into custody.
The Spartanburg County coroner said that the victim had been stabbed multiple times. Officials say that the man who was taken into custody claimed that the victim had been assaulting a woman. However, authorities say that a statement given by the woman and other evidence at the scene of the incident did not match the man’s version of events. An investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
