Facing accusations of a drug-related crime can be a stressful and daunting process. A conviction for drug crimes can have dire consequences, in some cases including time behind bars. A 20-year-old man has been arrested and is facing multiple charges, while police are attempting to locate two others following a recent drug bust in South Carolina.

Apparently, a search warrant was obtained as the result of a recent narcotics investigation. Police claim to have found large amounts of marijuana and Xanax, as well as LSD, during the search of an apartment. There are two other men that reside in the apartment, who so far have not been found. The man that was arrested is facing accusations for multiple charges of possession with intent to deliver, as well as drug trafficking, along with related charges.

Accusations of this nature can alter a person’s life in various ways. Individuals in a similar situation may suffer loss of reputation and/or employment, which can be difficult to overcome. Many people seek to protect these areas of life by defending against the charges but, with little to no knowledge of the process, often find this challenging.

When facing charges for drug crimes, seeking legal counsel in the early stages is often advisable. Many people in South Carolina speak with an experienced attorney for advice on the best course of action to take. A defense attorney can thoroughly examine all evidence against a person and assist in forming a strategy to challenge the charges and help pursue the best overall outcome given the situation.
